God IS Study Group Podcast

Please note that even though the name of this study group podcast is the same as my spiritual autobiography, having to own or have read a copy of my book is not required to participate in the study group. The name God Is reflects my belief in the simple, powerful yet all-encompassing direction implied by the name.

On September 13, 2001 God spoke to me and told me "Radio is part of your path, do not forsake it." The complete story is in my Spiritual autobiography GOD IS, in the chapter titled “My Radio Dharma”. Since that communication, mass media and particularly radio, (Words of the Prophets Radio Show, Heart Talk Radio Show and Good Company Radio Show) have been a significant part of my life. Entering the 21st century my radio dharma has manifested in the form of a podcast.

In March, 2020, I was approached by Kirsten Wolfe to collaborate on a study group that blended together Spiritual principles along with basic therapeutic procedures, including 12 Step practice, with the Spiritual principles being the primary focus. The conversations that pursued were the birthplace of the cybernetic God Is Study Group.

Our purpose for the God Is Study Group is as stated below:

“Take each step forward in love and ask oneself what would you be doing if you knew that an infinite source of unconditional love was flowing through you and guiding you with affirmative directive in every given moment.

God Is that source and you are one with that source. Are you aware of the flow? Are you supporting the flow or are you blocking it? The God Is Study Group is specifically designed to help you recognize the flow and guide you in its utilization.”

The God Is Study Group’s first meeting took place on Sunday, April 19, 2020. The recorded audio file of that first meeting and the subsequent meeting recordings will make up the installments (see chart below) of this podcast. The podcasts are in an mp3 format and you can stream them by first clicking on the underlined description in the Theme column of the Podcast Listing chart, and then by clicking on the play button of the audio player that is launched on a new tab. The shows can be downloaded by clicking on the Download button that appears on the newly launched streaming tab described in the previous sentence. Feel free to make copies of the shows and share them with your family and friends. If you would like to participate live in the God Is Study Group, please contact me utilizing either of the methods listed after you engage the contact button on the navigation bar. I will respond with all the relevant information to allow you to participatRev. Philip Strom (Rev. Phil) is the Spiritual Director of Church of the One God. Rev. Phil is an Ordained, (September 15, 1997) Trans-denominational, Interfaith, Non-Congregational Minister and a State of NM Licensed Alcohol Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC) (December 17, 2004). Additionally, Rev. Phil is a 12 Step recovering drug addict (August 17, 1987).

Rev. Phil’s ministry, Church of The One God, is dedicated to the mission of carrying the message that God is a power greater than humans and is loving, caring and non-judgmental and that everyone can better their lives by spiritual practice and the application of spiritual principles. His ministry also believes that worship is a private matter. We all define Divine Presence differently and therefore meditate and/or pray differently. Membership in a group or organization isn’t what’s important. Connection to a Power Greater Than Ourselves is. Therefore, his ministry isn’t looking for congregants nor will he ever ask you to contribute to or follow any person or entity in any form of ritual or campaign. He does this because all too often in our history, the messenger has become more important than the message.

May you always walk in LOVE and LIGHT.

Kirsten Wolfe is a spiritual ambassador, addictions counselor and a devoted gardener. She works in the state of New Mexico as a master’s level mental health Clinician in the field of addiction treatment. Kirsten conducts group therapy sessions and process-oriented workshops at an intensive outpatient center with principles based on the 12-step philosophy. The motivation to work in the field of addiction began with an intention to better understand the causal factors of this spiritual illness, an illness she herself recovered from in 2013 after taking refuge at a small Buddhist center in Santa Fe. At that time a new will to live and a new life motto was created: Kirsten once was lost, but now she is found. Was blind but now she sees. T’was grace that taught Kirsten’s heart to love and it was grace her fears relieved.

It was grace that would have her complete a 400 hour+ clinical hypnotherapy training program at the Academy of America as an initiation into the world of mental alchemy. It is through Mental Alchemy; we transform our inner life from undesirable (lead) to desirable (gold).

After receiving the certification, Kirsten finished her clinical training at the New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute Adult Psychiatric Division, an acute inpatient psychiatric setting owned and operated by the State of New Mexico. During the training hypnotherapy was applied as a complementary intervention to be used alongside conventional medicine. As of today, hypnosis is an aid in the psychotherapeutic journey. The therapy itself considers the whole being and addresses the spiritual hygiene of the individual. We are all spiritual beings having the human experience. Hypnotherapy is an intervention that gets us in touch with our oneness.

The governing principle of hypnosis is that there is only ONE MIND composed of the: conscious, subconscious and superconscious. When these minds align, harmony is the outcome. (S)he who lives in harmony with him-herself is in alignment with the universe. All of the world’s problems can be solved in alignment.

We are Creator of our destiny, both positively and negatively, because here is, we are a direct creation of Lord Almighty who has put his entire wealth within ourself.
